Leave a message for Yukari; don't worry, her eagle will make sure to get it to her.
package + note - after souji's job post in april
I caught extras and I thought Argus might like them. They're also good for cooking.

Oh. Fi...sh?
At least there's a note shortly thereafter.
Ohhhh, okay. Well, might as well throw one of them to the bird immediately, who wolfs it down, happily. She sketches a quick note back.] Thanks!
[Weird gift, but she might as well be gracious.
Also she now has to fight off her Carrier, who wants the other fish. NOT YET, ARGUS.]
voice;
Hello? Takeba-san? It's Nishikino. I was just wondering how you're doing...
no subject
Maki is not whom she is expecting to call her, but... hey, it's someone mostly unrelated to the goings on, and that helps because it's someone she can't think about what happened while she's talking to them.
Luckily, it's video. She can make her voice a lot more enthusiastic than she feels.]
Huh? Oh, hey Nishikino-san! I'm... alright, how are you?
no subject
So many can't help but want to see how Yukari (and Aigis) are doing. ]
I'm okay, I guess. Things have been kind of.. hectic lately. [ Dragons, fanmail, paintings.. ]
Did you end up going to Gresser?
no subject
Gresser... oh for the dragons? Yeah, I did. Took down a couple of 'em with some other people, in fact! [Actually, this is sort of why she wanted to; Boys Are Dumb]
no subject
Y-Yeah... wait! A couple of them?! There were more than one!?
[ Somehow Maki had only faced one, she hadn't known there was more! ]

NOTE...OBVS after the hot springs. a week or so
I hope you're okay.
- M
[ Yeah. That's it. ]
and he's had time to apply some aloe to that burn?
It feels more like a dream; a long, kind of dull and sleepy dream where she was totally unattached from herself and all the things going on. It wasn't really her, she...
... She woke up one morning, feeling like she'd woken out of a nightmare. She was falling again, and she jolted awake, terror gripping in her chest, panicking worse than she had when she'd tried to summon her Persona for the first time.
... She died, though, that's the truth. She was right about all the times she had to mention that. It's undeniable that she fell off that tower and died, and something changed afterwards.
But she's back to normal, now?
She's not expecting Argus to hack up a letter at some point later, though - had it already been so long?Something settles, hard and cold in her chest at the handwriting.
It takes a while before she sends one back, though. Most of the day, in fact, because it's still rattling around in her head that she might've... told him she didn't think his emotions were real! Which... she wonders(?) sometimes, but doesn't really believe.
Or at least he's good at convincing her-
No, no, she won't think like that. That was definitely, definitely too much.]
I guess so. Did I really walk naked back out of the hot springs?
[Well, some part of her might be back to normal.
She's diverting the question to something that will both confirm it wasn't a dream, but also doesn't address the problem directly.]
nah he's just letting it fester because HE CAN'T FEEL IT ANYWAY RIGHT
Besides, it'd be better for her in the event that people do remember this place when they return home. She wouldn't feel like she's missing out on much.
So when he gets the note in return, he's surprised. He sits on it, for a while. It's fairly innocuous. And sounds a lot more like her already. ]
Yeah, you did.
[ Might as well confirm it. Will she be upset at him for not trying to save her dignity? Hard to WHEN YOURS IS ALREADY CRUSHED. ]
she is still a healer, she can try to ease the pain a little. or at least put him out of his misery
... Goddamnit.
She gnaws the inside of her lip for a good, long time after that - almost an hour, at least - before she decides... this has to be talked about. She feels like ass about saying some of that; even if he'd humiliated people in public, it didn't warrant that kind of backlash, what she'd given was good enough, so that must have been something else... and she doesn't know what.]
You free for a while?
just kill him now. oh wait he's already dead
He really wasn't expecting her to want to talk to him like that, either. Normally he'd just try and see if he'd already promised to meet someone else before accepting, but he takes pause. To be honest, he hasn't been leaving his room as much as before, having spent some time reflecting on what she'd said.
Hm.
He's just...well. He figures the worst that could happen is he'd break the Social Link for good. But he realized that it's a distinct possibility after their last encounter. ]
Yeah.
[ He's short when he speaks most of the time, but not usually this short with her. He reconsiders before adding at the bottom: ]
Did you want to talk?
"I can't heal you if you're dead". The manga is still the superior non-game adaptation
i love the manga there is no shame

note
Yukari-san, I hope all is well.
Is it all right if we talk?
- Souji
[ He wants to send a note first so she's not obligated to actually... well, talk to him if she doesn't want to. A letter is easier to ignore than a call. ]
no subject
That said...
Yukari does sigh when she gets the note. It's the same as it was with Minato, then. Except, well, Souji might've actually acknowledged what he did wrong, and... Yukari didn't totally yell at him. And so...]
Yeah, I'm fine.
We can talk, if ya wanna. [She wants to find out if he's alright, too. Even if she did not endear himself to her with the little smut novel stunt, she did notice he'd been out for a long time. And that's... that's concerning.]
no subject
May I call you? Or would you prefer to speak in person?
no subject

S-Shinjiro-senpai!?
[This is Yukari's Very Intelligent response]
no subject
Yeah, it's me. [ Ah crap, what if— ] Sorry if I woke you up.
[ Because that is clearly the crux of the problem here. ]

W-wha- how did- [Wait, none of that is the actual thing Yukari wants to say...]

GOSH YUKARI that's probably for the best. she would've hated his mask
I was thinking about getting lunch. Are you hungry?
SHE... probably would've. sorry for the inexplicable absence, though
She's not going to let it show too much, though.]
Um, yeah, sure. You had anywhere in mind? [She definitely sounds more surprised than suspicious, but... it's still definitely there.
What is he up to]

Dear Yukari Takeba,
I am happy to see that you made it back from Gammon, safe and sound. War is truly a terrible thing, and I can only imagine the horrors you had to go through. I thank you for your service, from the bottom of my heart, and on behalf of Blanc’s citizens. We are truly grateful.
Commander Pinta has informed me of your valiant efforts in the recent battle to protect the Kingdom of Gammon. Gammon is an important ally of the Republic of Blanc, and though a battle is never an enjoyable ordeal, I do hope you enjoyed the sights and celebrations our sister nation has to offer.
But not too much! Gammon is a great place, but Blanc missed you, Yukari! I missed you. I thought it might be nice to send you a little gift, which I hope you’ll enjoy.
Warmest regards,
Thierry Toussant
[ Unwrap the box and you will find:
A large container of pink salt. So much salt.
If your eyes happen to wander over to your window, you notice you’re not alone. Wait a minute, is that… Teddy peeking in, watching eagerly as you unwrap your gift? Was it just your imagination? Whether it is or not, he’s already gone! ]
